Cellometer Auto 1000 Bright Field Cell Counter
Touchscreen automated cell counter for trypan blue viability
Why Auto 1000?

Introduction to the Cellometer Auto 1000 Bright Field Cell Counter
Trypan Blue Viability in < 10 Seconds!
The Auto 1000 utilizes bright field imaging to quickly and accurately identify and count individual live cells and dead cells stained with Trypan Blue. Cell count, concentration, diameter, and % viability are automatically calculated and reported in < 10 seconds.

Analyze Individual Cells in Clusters and Irregular-Shaped Cells

Clumpy Cells
The Cellometer pattern-recognition software identifies and counts individual cells within cell clusters for the most accurate cell counts. One example is the counted image of A549 cancer cells shown at left.

Irregular-shaped Cells
The Cellometer cell roundness setting can be adjusted for recognition and counting of irregular-shaped cells, such as RD cells, activated T-cells, and skin cancer cells like the SK-MEL-2 cells shown at left.
Cell Size Analysis & Size-based Counting
The Cellometer Auto 1000 automatically generates a cell size histogram based on cell diameter.
The minimum and maximum cell diameter settings can be optimized to exclude debris or very large cells, or to count specific cells in a sample.

Stand-Alone Instrument with Large Touch Screen

The Cellometer Auto 1000 is a convenient all-in-one system. The built-in computer can be lined to a network via USB cable or a USB drive can be used to automatically save counting data.
The large 10" Auto 1000 touch-screen enables simple operation and user-friendly visualization of cell morphology and counted cells. Easily select saved assays with optimized counting parameters for specific cell types.
Counted Cell Images for Data Verification
No two cells are the same. With the Auto 1000 Cell Counter, cell morphology can be immediately viewed on-screen in the bright field image.
Counted cells can be viewed for further verification that cells in the sample are being imaged and analyzed properly.
Users can confirm that:
- Cells are counted correctly, based on size and shape
- Cells within small clusters are being counted individually
- Debris is being excluded

More than 20x Faster than Manual Counting

Counting 1 x 106 cells takes approximately 5 minutes with a manual hemacytometer. Counting live and dead cells sometimes takes twice as long. The Cellometer Auto 1000 Cell Viability Counter calculates cell count and concentration for live and dead cells and % viability in < 10 seconds.
Improve Data Accuracy & Consistency
- Eliminate Wash Steps
- Eliminate Judgment Errors
- Reduce Inter-Operator Variability
- Eliminate Recording & Calculation Errors
- Reduce Counting Time … Run More Experiments
Counting Chambers - No Washing or Contamination

Cellometer Disposable Counting Chambers consist of two independent enclosed chambers with a precisely controlled height. Cell suspension of 20 microliters is loaded into the chamber using a standard single channel pipette. The chamber is inserted into the Cellometer cell counter and the cells are imaged directly from the chamber.
The disposable Cellometer Cell Counting Chambers offer several key advantages:
- Time savings – no washing
- No risk of cross-contamination
- Reduced biohazard risk to users
- Controlled sample volume
Auto-Save Data and Cell Images

Print directly from the instrument screen. The standard printout displays live, dead, and total cell count and concentration, % viability, and cell images. Select the Auto-Print setting to automatically generate a report for each cell count.

Easily Save data and images to a network or USB drive. Activate the Auto-Save feature for data, raw images, and / or counted images. They will automatically be saved to a specified network location or USB drive following analysis of each sample.
